Azure - cloud computing

Traditionally, most companies used to set the web or e-mail server on their own hardware. This solution  gives them more control, but also requires greater initial investments. This investments involves buying hardware, setting up initial infrastructure, and costs for server specialists who will adjust the system.

Cloud computing enables companies to eliminate the need to create an in-house infrastructure stored on internal hard drives and purchasing hardware.

Microsoft Azure, once known as Windows Azure, is Microsoft's public cloud computing platform. It provides a range of cloud services, including computing, analytics, storage and networking. Users can choose between these services to develop and expand new applications or launch existing applications in the public cloud.

Azure is quite flexible, it gives you the ability to backup your data from any OS and from anywhere. In addition, you define the frequency of back-up with schedules (daily, weekly, monthly) based on your needs.

As the result, more than 57% of the 500 largest companies in the world are already relying on Azure. It provides 99.95% availability, 24/7 technical support and constant monitoring of all services.
